Ruth

Ruth is our office manager and resident lawyer, (she recently passed the bar and does pro bono work for battered women). She grew up in Santa Fe, New Mexico. She earned her BA from Cornell and her law degree from Stanford. She says she works in the veterinary field for the entertainment value and our patients can be very entertaining. She likes people almost as much as she like animals. She lives with her 2 dogs, Dylan and Wolf and 3 cats, Marley, Minou, and Churchill. Her self-imposed ban on acquiring new pets is out of fear of becoming known as the "Cat Lady" of Oak Tree.

Heidi

Heidi, our German Shorthaired Pointer was a parking lot castoff. She generally works here as our greeter. (We haven't seen her greet anyone yet!) Her watch dog instincts seem to be non-existent. Mostly she sleeps all day and occasionally she gets up when forced to by her dad Dr. Arnott. She is not our hardest working employee but we love her. She got the job because she looks good.

Karen

Karen grew up in Livermore and recently moved back after four years of retirement in Florida (she isn't even 30 or republican). We think she will do much better in Northern California with us. Karen graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo in 2001 with a Bachelor's in animal science and aspires to become an RVT soon. Karen lives in Pleasanton with her two cats Sushi and Dora. When she's not working she enjoys cooking with wine (sometimes added to food), traveling, and photography. She makes awesome choc. chip cookies (we know) and cheesecake (we can hardly wait).

Janice

Janice has been working at Oak Tree forever. Actually she worked as a veterinary technician for 14 years before leaving the field to raise a family. Janice and her husband Harlan have 3 wonderful children, Noah a recent UC Berkeley grad, Nathan who works with wildlife, and Autumn who is a freshman at Stanford University.. They are proud owners of two weight-challenged labs and 3 cats, the newest an abandoned kitten (King William our hospital cat's sister) with a congenital heart defect so severe specialist predicted she wouldn't live past 3 months. With the Albers' love and care, Angel celebrated her 2nd birthday.

Sheri

Sheri moved to beautiful Danville eight years ago with her husband Steve, her sons Michael and Richard, her cat Jordie and dog Lady. Now instead of seeking therapy for her empty-nest syndrome, she decided to work part-time joining the Oak Tree team last year. Sheri's business background is office and purchasing management in the Banking and Robotics industries. She loves to cook, read, camp, travel, and of course walk her dog.

Glenyse

Glenyse works part time at Oak Tree. Growing up in Northern California, she obtained a degree in Theater, and moved to New York, to try her hand at Broadway. She has also worked in the computer world. She enjoys photography and painting, you can view her excellent work at her website. This spring she had a successful showing of her work at the Wente gallery. She and her partner Mellissa celebrated 10 years together cruising the Greek Isles and Turkey. They have 3 cats, Wolfie, Bella, and Norman. They also have a dog named Luke.

Jill

Jill grew up here in Danville. She lives here with her 2 year old son Nicholas. She celebrated 10 years of bar tending at Meenars. So if she greets you with a drink here at Oak Tree, smile and remember she makes a mean Man O War or Sweet Tart. Her 3 dogs, Poncho, Roxy, and Mac (the pug with attitude) have gone into landscaping - doing quite a spectacular job on Jill's yard!

Allie

Allie was born- now she works here. She said she has little to contribute to her bio, but a CIA background check revealed she was born in Modesto and raised in the East Bay. She has one over-protective older brother Noah and 5 dogs: Lucky, Sammy, Cal, Cleo, and Yappers, and 2 cats: Shadow and Cider. She is the youngest member of our team. This makes her the baby. If she thinks she is ever going to be allowed to date with all of us watching over her she is sadly mistaken.

Autumn

Autumn is a recent graduate of San Ramon Valley High School. She began working at Oak Tree in the summer of 2004 and returned in the summers of 2006 and 2007 as a receptionist. Her mother, Janice told her to either get a job or clean her room (the room cleaning part was not going to happen). She has five pets-2 overweight dogs and 3 cats. She spends most of her free time playing softball and getting bitten by William (the king of Oak Tree). She is attending Stanford University and is considering studying psychology, science, and language.

Dan

Dan comes to us as a gift from the stars. His incredible good looks mixed with a sparkling personality make him the total package. Dan was born in Fremont. He has a brother, Joe and a sister, Shannon. To escape the tyranny of two older siblings he joined the army. After serving time in the military he went on a journey to find a new career. His older sister introduced him to the animal world and the rest is history.

When he isn't out driving the ladies crazy he likes to spend time with his dog, Zeke and cat, Frankie. Dan is a huge movie and sports fan spending most of his free time watching both. If you come on a day he is here, be ready to fall head over heals in love with his dazzling smile and witty sense of humor.

Susie

Susie says she is the unofficial mayor of Danville. She's lived in Danville for 15 years and knows everyone in this town. She started working part-time at Oak Tree in September, 2007 as a receptionist when the last of her two sons left for college. She searched her soul and decided she wanted a fun job. It was either take the job or become a shop-a-holic. She was first a client at Oak Tree whose dog was saved (literally) by Dr. Arnott not once, but twice!!! Shadow (a black lab) is now 12 years old.

When you call to set up a appointment one of the first voices you will hear is Susie's. She takes care of the entire front office on Tuesday mornings. Susie is looking forward to meeting each and every one of you.

Katlyn

Katlyn is a single white female and newly legal at 18. When not out at an A's game, or buying Lotto tickets, you can see her at Oak Tree Animal Hospital. Still working on the week-ends at Oak Tree, she will be pursuing her goal to be a miniature Dr. Budd while attending Sacramento State in the fall of 2008. She will be working toward her degree in Biochemistry (Good Luck with that). Having lived in Danville most of her life, spoiled brat has had the privilege to have cruised around Europe three times and makes frequent trips to Disneyland. Katlyn co-habits her parent's house with 5 animals, Oreo who starred as a puppy in the Disney movie 101 Dalmatians, and 4 cats, Darien, Sabrina, Napoleon and Sydney, who were rescued from a dumpster.
